A BLS Provider program for CPR is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to respond to emergency situations and perform life-saving CPR techniques. By following these guidelines, participants will learn how to recognize and respond to cardiac arrest and respiratory distress, and how to efficiently manage the airway, breathing, and circulation of a patient in an emergency. Additionally, participants will learn about the importance of teamwork and communication in the resuscitation setting
You will learn how to:
Perform high quality CPR on Adult, Child, and Infant
Operate an automated external defibrillator
Perform conscious and unconscious choking for Adult, Child, and Infant
Perform rescue breathing techniques through Bag Valve Masks and Pocket Mask
Individuals who complete the course receive a 2-year American Heart Association BLS Certification
This program builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. ACLS teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.
You will learn how to:
Recognize early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
Perform airway management
Recognize and understand ACLS EKG
Distinguish and understand ACLS Pharmacology
Manage acute coronary syndromes and recognize stroke
Work effectively in a team
Individuals who complete the ACLS course will receive a 2-year American Heart Association ACLS Certification
